The center provides hands-on education in agriculture and the food system, supports small farmers and food businesses, and grows, prepares, and serves produce and meals to students facing food insecurity. Center-affiliated staff and faculty collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects that focus primarily on improving organic farming practices and increasing the sustainability of local food systems.
