Dolores Huerta Research Center for the Americas

Your gift supports the Dolores Huerta Research Center for the Americas by providing ongoing programming and funding for research in the fields of Chicanx, Latinx, and Latin American studies.

The center connects United States and international scholars who are advancing our understanding of this hemisphere. We fund UCSC faculty and graduate students’ cross-border research through group and individual grants, providing essential access to resources and professional development. Undergraduate students can also receive funding to advance their education through our center’s legislative fellowships, research apprenticeships, and grant programs. We heavily collaborate with researchers across the division, including in the Latin American and Latino Studies Department, Sociology Department, and Community Studies Program.

Donations to our center’s unrestricted fund allow us to staff the center, fund meaningful contributions from students and scholars of all levels, and host researchers and events to communicate our research findings.
