Earthbound Farm Environmental Stewardship Award

Your gift supports students who are dedicated to making advances in the fields of organic and sustainable agriculture. This merit-based award allows students to receive two consecutive years of funding.

Donations enable students to make the most of their time at UCSC and actively engage with research and outreach related to environmental protection. By reducing financial barriers, these funds provide more equitable access to a wide range of career-building opportunities.

This award is named after Myra and Drew Goodman, founders of Earthbound Farm in Carmel Valley, California, one of the largest growers of organic produce in the world. Drew Goodman is a 1983 UCSC alumnus who received his degree in Environmental Studies and Environmental Design, and Myra is dedicated to organic agriculture. The Goodman’s commitment to protecting the environment and desire to support the mission of Drew’s alma mater motivated them to establish this award in 2006.
