Our doctoral students are informed and critically engaged emerging researchers whose research advances our understanding of political and social thought and forces, institutions, and political economy. Graduate student support helps us provide a wide range of financial help to our students, from Teaching Assistantships that help build their CVs to graduate student research positions that help them hone in on the application of their skills.
By being able to provide flexible, accommodating funding, our program is able to graduate individuals who will further social justice while also attracting the ideal prospective students to apply to UCSC.
