Your gift helps provide two graduate students working as teaching assistants with monetary awards for their exceptional dedication to teaching and mentorship of undergraduate students.
Awards are provided to one student teaching in the Economics Department and one student teaching in one of the seven other departments in the Social Sciences Division. Donations to this fund allow the division to reward the efforts of Teaching Assistants by providing additional financial support to top doctoral students in our programs.

Emeritus Professor of Economics David Kaun was a recipient of student support during his graduate work at Stanford University, which inspired him to endow a graduate student award after working with two talented teaching assistants. Milam and McGinty were international economics Ph.D. students and teaching assistants in Kaun’s Intermediate Microeconomic Theory course. Kaun credited Milam and McGinty with making major contributions to the success of the course and inspiring him to establish the endowment.
