In the Politics at UC Santa Cruz, we examine politics from historical and cultural perspectives, leveraging interdisciplinary research methods to produce critical interpretations of the many faces of power. We use social science and humanistic methods to uncover insights in four traditional areas of political science: American Politics and Comparative Politics. International Relations, and Political Theory.
Donating to our department’s unrestricted fund helps us provide a world-class academic experience for our undergraduate students, attract and fund innovative emerging scholarships in our Ph.D. program, and continue contributing to social justice work by providing recommendations for public policy.
